Houston Texas Tigers Endowed Scholarship
(For returning Mizzou students)

Since 2007, the Houston Texas Tigers have annually awarded one or more Endowed Scholarships to outstanding students pursuing an undergraduate degree at MU. The scholarship recognizes Mizzou students from the Houston area who contribute to their university and/or community in areas of service and leadership.
The actual number of scholarships and the amount(s) depend on fundraising activities held 
throughout the previous year. 

In order to be eligible for consideration, scholarship applicants must:
• Apply online by March 1 at www.mizzou.com/returningscholarship2016
• Reside within the Houston area.
• Attend the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
• Be enrolled full-time and have at least one (1) remaining semester at Mizzou.
• Have at least a 2.75 grade point average.
• Be a U.S. citizen, or documented permanent resident of the U.S.

Diversity in Leadership
This scholarship is designated for undergraduate students from traditionally underrepresented ethnic groups who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in the classroom, on campus and in the community. Recipients, as part of the scholarship award, agree to provide service to the alumni association during the school year in which the award is received. 

Global Tigers Scholarship
This scholarship is designated for returning international students. Recipients, as part of the scholarship award, agree to provide service to the alumni association during the school year in which the award is received.

True Tigers Scholarship
This scholarship awards and recognizes outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership, both on campus and in the community. Students must be current members of the True Tiger program. 

Entsminger Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to support students who currently work at the Mizzou Alumni Association or active members of either the Alumni Association Student Board and/or Homecoming Steering Committee. Students must be currently engaged in student alumni organizations. Open to undergraduates only. 
• Never at any time have been subject to any disciplinary action by any institution or entity, including, but not limited to, any educational or law enforcement agency.
• Not currently receiving full scholarship(s) for tuition.
• Not currently receiving the Red Graham scholarship from the Alumni Association.

The online application for our Endowed Scholarship will also be used for a variety of other MAA-supported scholarships. Students should read the descriptions of the available scholarships and indicate which scholarships they would like to be considered for on their application. Students only need to complete a single application, which

• Applications will be accepted online ONLY. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
• The online application must be submitted all at once, so you will not be able to save a partially completed application or edit an already submitted application. We suggest typing your answers in advance and then cutting and pasting them into the essay portion of the application.
• We recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox browsers to complete and submit your application.

In addition to contact information and background information, you will be required to write four brief essay responses which have a 1000 character limit, which is roughly 200 words (note this limit includes spaces). We advise you prepare the questions in advance and then cut and paste the responses into the application.
The prompts are as follows:

1. How have you demonstrated the core values of the University of Missouri during your time on campus?
2. Discuss how you plan to serve the University as an alumnus or alumna after you graduate.
3. Describe and achievement or accomplishment you are most proud of during your time at Mizzou and how it demonstrates your strengths and abilities.
4. What is your favorite Mizzou memory?

You will also be prompted to list up to three (3) campus activities, organizations and/or involvements, as well as up to three (3) community service or volunteer activities. Include any positions held (if relevant), the number of years involved, and roughly how many hours per week you are involved with this activity.
