Welcome to the home of the Houston Texas Tigers (HTT),
a 14-time Capstone chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association.
The Houston Texas Tigers boast a proud history of service to the University of Missouri. There are 2,562 alumni in the Houston area. Our chapter has 408 members, including 50+ student members in Columbia.

Join us on Friday, January 10 in downtown Houston for our scholarship fundraiser! We have a great speaker lined up in former Dallas Cowboys football player and CIA agent Howard Richards, a Mizzou alum who now works within the MU athletic department. He'll give us an update from campus, including exclusive intel on our new football coach Eli Drinkwitz, and take your questions.

You'll also be able to network with numerous other Mizzou alumni and friends at the event. It's a great cause, with all proceeds going to scholarships that help support Houston-area students at Mizzou. Tickets are $50 for most and $35 for young alumni, with each ticket including access to a dinner buffet and two drinks. Your ticket also gets you into our silent auction and raffle giveaways.

We only do our large fundraisers once every two years, so this is a crucial period for our chapter's ability to fund scholarships that help keep Mizzou as a viable option for Houston students. Your support is very much appreciated, and we hope to see you at Craft Beer Cellar (owned by an MU alum) soon!

Our chapter
hosted a send-off event for Houston-area students starting at MU this fall. Our annual Student Sendoff gives students from area high schools and their families a chance to meet each other and visit with local alumni.

Elizabeth Loboa, MU Dean of Engineering and Vice Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships, came to Houston in April 2019 for induction into the National Academy of Inventors.

She is one of Mizzou's best ambassadors and is leading the charge to build a new precision medicine complex at MU. Loboa began her tenure as the college’s 11th dean in October 2015, and is the first woman to hold the position

ZOU at the Zoo

M-I-Z, Z-O-O! On Sunday, March 3, local Houston Texas Tigers met up at the Houston Zoo for Truman the Tiger's birthday party! Events included a guided animal experience with a zookeeper. Visit our Facebook page for a photo gallery.

Thanks to all who joined us January 26 for our annual Houston Texas Tigers service project. As part of the project, nearly 20 Houston-based alums helped organize items at the Houston Food Bank warehouse! The Service Day is a requirement for Capstone status, which helps our chapter award Mizzou scholarships to Houston-area students.

Support our Scholarship Fund

Our alumni chapter created an Endowed Scholarship fund in 2007 and has given more than $30,000 in scholarships to deserving students from our area attending Mizzou since. Through fundraising events and alumni donations, we are able to help ensure that the best and brightest students from our area have an opportunity to join the Mizzou family. Donations of any amount truly make an impact toward helping these students reach their future success.

You can now donate online through our chapter's Giving To Mizzou page.
